The Netherlands brought their famous cheeses to this pizza - Gouda and blue cheese join the mozzarella base, with sliced ham layered on top. It is rich, indulgent, and very Dutch. The Gouda melts beautifully in the intense heat while the blue cheese adds sharp, punchy notes that cut through the richness.

Originally created as the Netherlands entry for DeliVita's Euro 2024 pizza series, this is a white pizza - no tomato sauce needed. The three cheeses provide more than enough flavour and moisture. If you are a fan of a good cheese board, this is your pizza.

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough ball
  • Flour for dusting
  • 100g fresh mozzarella, torn
  • 50g Gouda cheese, cubed or sliced
  • 50g blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 slices ham, torn into pieces
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Fire your pizza oven to 400-450 degrees.
  2. Stretch the dough to about 12 inches on a well-floured surface.
  3. Scatter the mozzarella across the base and drizzle with olive oil. Distribute the Gouda and blue cheese evenly, then layer the ham pieces on top. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Slide into the oven and cook for 60-90 seconds, turning frequently. All three cheeses should be melted and bubbling, with the ham taking on a slight crisp at the edges.
