The Grill Guru Replacement Gasket L/M is a roll of grey felt sealing strip for renewing the gasket on a Grill Guru kamado. It replaces the felt on both the dome and the base, so the lid seals neatly against the base again.
The felt keeps the kamado airtight, holding in heat for steady cooking temperatures, and protects the ceramic edges of the dome and base. Grill Guru advises replacing it when it becomes flat or slippery, starts to fray, or the kamado begins leaking smoke, typically after around 40 uses.
Grill Guru has an instruction video on its website showing how to fit the new felt.
